Whew, Kayla + Aaron sure do know how to throw a good party! Their Palos Verdes wedding at La Venta Inn was full of amazing friends and good times from start to finish. Kayla's bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning in their Show Me Your Mumu dresses, and we lucked out with a CRAZY beautiful sunset. Take a peek into their day below!
As a child, I thought (and still do) that red hair was the most beautiful thing in the world. I went so far as to desperately pray to God that he would transform my hair á la the Little Mermaid/Anne of Green Gables. Well, I'm still blonde (ish) so we all know how that turned out. I have to say though, when a red headed bride books me that inner kid wakes up and gets reallllll excited. Briana + Alex were SO much fun to hang with, and they even brought their aussiedoodle puppies Bonnie & Clyde!! (Links to official puppy instagramz here & here.) And now, let the cuteness overload begin.
I absolutely love it when my clients take me somewhere special for their engagement session! When Carra + Luke asked if I'd be willing to fly to Princeton University to shoot them where they first met and fell in love, it took me about .5 seconds to give them an embarrassingly enthusiastic YES. When the weekend of their session arrived and brought an insane rainstorm with it, we just decided to grab some umbrellas and go make some photo magic happen anyways, and boy, I am SO glad we did! Everything just came together with soft, yet glowing light, perfectly splashable puddles, and the prettiest, dewy rose garden you ever did see. I'm so excited for their upcoming Taos, New Mexico wedding!
First of all, gotta love a gal who buys her wedding dress, then finds another one she loves more so she wears her original dress to her engagement session. Um AMAZING! To any brides who are having trouble picking one dress, buy them both. YOLO. You heard it here first. Taylor + Jeff were so much fun to hang out with and shoot! They were down to tromp through fields and play in the freezing ocean, and that's my kind of couple. We got some pretty amazing images from their session in Malibu Creek + El Matador Beach. Take a peek!
Can we also talk about how Taylor's ring?! Jeff mined the stones from the town where Taylor's grandparents live and had the ring custom made. Heart eyed emojis forever. Gentlemen, take note. That's how you do a ring.
Shooting for the Los Angeles based children's clothing line Wil + Frida was a dream come true! They JUST launched their Spring 2017 line and I had to share a few of my favorite images. Six-year-old girls may just be my new favorite type of client, can you tell how much fun we had together?! To shop Will + Frida's new line, click here.
P.S. A big thanks to Mini Style Blog for featuring my images as well!
Hanging out with Christy + Marcus was so much fun! We started out our session properly with Salt & Straw ice cream (YUM) and then headed down to the beach and encountered the craziest windstorm ever. Despite almost getting blown into the ocean, Christy + Marcus totally rocked it and we had a blast!
When Marta and John graciously invited me into their Los Feliz home to capture their life before their little one arrives, I was thrilled! With gorgeous morning light, a beautiful home, and a sweet belly full of baby, it's the perfect recipe for photos, don't you agree? The topping on the cake was their sweet little dog, Zozo. Take a peek below and you'll see how she cuddled right up to the camera!
I'm so genuinely excited to throw a bit of this session up on the internet! (So stoked that after a 6 hour road trip for this shoot, I started working on the photos right away and haven't even taken off my sandy boots yet. There's also probably typos in this post, sorry Mom.) Let's just say that shooting in White Sands, New Mexico was a dream come true. Not only was the scenery jaw droppingly beautiful, but Becca and Bryan are just about two of the nicest people on the planet! (Reserving first place for a tie between Mother Teresa and Danielle M. from The Bachelor, of course.) Becca's stunner of a dress from Free People was bees knees and POPPED against the creamy desert tones. Mmmhmmm. With 6 months of marriage under their belt, we sure celebrated in style with this sweet session!
P.S. Becca has her own sweet corner on the internet here. Check out her blog!
I've got a big crush on rainy wedding days. Not only did it rain on MY wedding day, but rainy days just have a magical feel to them and they provide some of the prettiest light for photos! Regina + Luke definitely didn't let the rain get them down on their wedding day, and their backyard Ojai wedding was a party and a half! They started out tying the knot at their alma mater, Thomas Aquinas College, and then went on to celebrate with their friends and family in the backyard of Regina's childhood home. All the heart eyed emojis for these two amazing people!
You might know Melanie and Charlie from their boutique Pasadena coffee bar, Lavender & Honey. (If you've never been, go ASAP and experience the life changing magic of their honeybee latte!) They recently welcomed baby Eloise, who's not only sweeter than a honeybee latte, but also the epitome of cuddly newborn squishiness and perfection. Spending time capturing the Porters in their new life as a family of three was such a joyful experience, and shooting in home family lifestyle sessions is one of my favorite things to do!
