White Sands Engagement Photography: Paige + Brian
As desert dwellers and explorers at heart, Paige + Brian wanted to explore southern New Mexico at sunrise for their engagement session! As it so happens, we ended up shooting on Earth Day and the result was a stunning tribute to both Paige + Brian's bubbly, adventurous love AND the jaw dropping, stark beauty of the desert.
We began by shooting as the sun rose in White Sands Monument, which is a field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals. Crazy fact, these dunes are the largest of their kind on the whole planet! We meandered through the Valley of Fires afterwards, hiking through 5,000 year old lava fields. We finished our session by running around a desolate highway, soaking in the bright, warm sun. The entire time, we all just couldn't stop talking about what an incredible privilege it was to shoot in such a magical place, and thanks to shooting at sunrise, we had it all to ourselves!
Brian + Paige recently got married at Los Poblanos Historic Farm & Organic Inn in Albuquerque, New Mexico, stay tuned for their magical wedding, it's hitting the blog soon!
